Solicitar un certificado de estado civil en Ecuador
¿Tiene usted la nacionalidad neerlandesa, reside en Ecuador y necesita un certificado de estado civil? Puede solicitar dicho certificado por correo electrónico a la embajada neerlandesa en Lima, el Perú. Luego puede recoger el certificado en el consulado honorario en Quito o Guayaquil.
Siga los pasos indicados a continuación para solicitar un certificado de estado civil por correo electrónico.
Paso 1: Reúna los documentos necesarios
Para solicitar un certificado de estado civil necesitará varios documentos. Los documentos concretos que usted necesita dependen de su situación. Posiblemente, deberá encargar la traducción y la legalización de los documentos antes de poder usarlos fuera de los Países Bajos.
To apply for a certificate of marital status, you will need:
- A valid Dutch passport or Dutch ID card.
- Proof of registration in the municipality where you live, bearing your address.
If this is not available in the country where you live, you can instead provide a bank statement or utility bill from the past month bearing your name and address, or a rental contract bearing your name and address. - Official proof from a Dutch or foreign government authority stating that you are not married. This cannot be a self-declaration or a document drawn up by a notary.
If you have deregistered from the Personal Records Database (BRP) in the Netherlands, you should apply for a certificate in the form of an extract from the Non-Residents Records Database (RNI). This will show your marital status at the time you left the Netherlands.
Additional documents if you have been living outside the Netherlands for a long time
If you live outside the Netherlands, you must provide additional documents to show that you have never been married or are now divorced. If you cannot provide official documents, you should provide other documents that prove your marital status. This could be proof of registration with the immigration authorities, tax returns or insurance policies.
To apply for a certificate of marital status, you will need:
- A valid Dutch passport or Dutch ID card.
- Proof of address and proof of registration in the municipality where you live.
If this is not available in the country where you live, you can instead provide a bank statement or utility bill from the past month bearing your name and address, or a rental contract bearing your name and address. - Proof of divorce (divorce certificate or court judgment), proof of termination of previous registered partnership or a death certificate.
Additional documents if you have been living outside the Netherlands for a long time
If you live outside the Netherlands, you must provide additional documents to show that you have never been married or are now divorced. If you cannot provide official documents, you should provide other documents that prove your marital status. This could be proof of registration with the immigration authorities, tax returns or insurance policies.
Posiblemente deberá hacer traducir y legalizar los documentos que no sean neerlandeses.
¿Ya ha reunido todos los documentos necesarios? Escanee cada documento en un fichero pdf aparte. No se aceptan fotografías de los documentos.
Paso 2: Envíe los documentos por correo electrónico a la embajada
Envíe un correo electrónico a la embajada neerlandesa en Lima:
Indique en su correo:
- El nombre del certificado (en el asunto del correo electrónico).
- Su(s) inicial(es) y apellido (en el asunto del correo electrónico).
- Su número de teléfono (móvil).
- Para qué necesita el certificado. En el certificado se indica el objeto para el que se necesita.
- Donde desea recoger el certificado: en Quito a Guayaquil.
Adjunte los documentos necesarios como anexo de su correo electrónico (en pdf).

Paso 3: Pague el certificado
Un certificado consular cuesta 30 €. Debe pagar los gastos en consulado honorario.

Paso 4: Reciba el certificado
Normalmente se tarda unos 10 días hábiles en procesar su solicitud. ¿Tiene que enviar documentos adicionales porque su solicitud no está completa? Entonces el plazo de espera se alarga algo más.
Recoja y pague el certificado en el cónsul honorario de su preferencia, en Quito o Guayaquil.

Recibirá el certificado con la forma de un formulario multilingüe en neerlandés, inglés, francés y alemán. ¿Necesita el certificado en otro idioma? Entonces deberá encargar que lo traduzca un traductor jurado. Pregunte a la instancia que le pide el certificado, si necesita hacer legalizar el original del certificado o la traducción.
