Logging in with DigiD using SMS verification

If you use DigiD SMS verification, you will be sent an SMS text message with a code during the login process. Enter the code in the login screen. You can also log in this way if you are located outside the Netherlands.

Attention: Not all foreign telephone subscriptions allow you to receive SMS messages from the Netherlands. So check with your provider.

If you cannot receive SMS messages or do not have a mobile telephone, you can choose to receive spoken messages via your landline.

Logging in with SMS verification in 3 steps

  1. Enter your DigiD username and password in the login screen.
  2. An SMS containing a code will be sent to your phone.
  3. Enter the code in the login screen.
