Can I take expensive purchases into the Netherlands?
If you are travelling to the Netherlands or returning to the Netherlands after a trip abroad, you can take expensive purchases with you. However, you may need to submit a customs declaration. This depends on what your purchase cost and the country you are travelling from.

If you are taking purchases with you that are worth € 430 or less, you will not have to submit a customs declaration in the Netherlands.
If you are taking purchases with you from the Russian Federation to the Netherlands, different rules apply due to sanctions.

If you are taking purchases with you that are worth more than € 430, whether or not you have to submit a customs declaration depends on the country from which you are travelling to the Netherlands. Check the list of EU countries and select your situation.
I am travelling from an EU country
You do not have to submit a customs declaration.
I am travelling from a non-EU country
You have to submit a customs declaration when you arrive in the Netherlands. If you do not do so, customs may impose a fine and you still have to submit a customs declaration.
