90 days from date of issue
The 90-day period starts on the date on which your MVV visa sticker is issued. This date is shown on your visa sticker under ‘issued on’.
This means that you must collect your residence permit in the Netherlands within 90 days of the date of issue of your MVV visa sticker. So plan your trip to the Netherlands in a timely manner.
If your passport with the MVV visa sticker is lost or stolen, contact the IND immediately.
On your MVV visa sticker, under ‘valid for’ only the Netherlands is listed. However, your MVV visa sticker is also valid for other countries in the Schengen area.
So you may travel to the Netherlands via another Schengen country. You are also allowed to enter and exit the Schengen area multiple times on your MVV visa sticker. Please note: You may not stay more than 90 days in a Schengen country other than the Netherlands.

Are you travelling to the Netherlands via a Caribbean part of the Kingdom? Please be aware that your MVV visa sticker is not valid for the Caribbean parts of the Kingdom.

Collecting your residence permit in the Netherlands
You or your sponsor will receive a message from the IND letting you know when you can collect your residence permit. To do so, you must make an appointment at an IND office. Your MVV visa sticker must still be valid on the day you collect your residence permit.
