How can I update my address in the Non-residents Records Database?

If you are moving from one place outside the Netherlands to another place outside the Netherlands, report your change of address online using the Moving Abroad service portal. You can also update your address at a municipality in the Netherlands with an RNI desk.

Using the Moving Abroad service portal

To report your change of address using the Moving Abroad service portal you need a DigiD.

Attention: Please note: If you don’t already have one, you can apply for a DigiD. You can also update your address at an RNI desk.

Updating your address at an RNI desk

You can report a change of address abroad at any of the 19 municipalities in the Netherlands with an RNI desk. Exactly how to do this varies by desk. Select how you want to report your change of address.

If you have a DigiD, you can update your address abroad online through one of the RNI desks below:

If you don’t have a DigiD but do have a recognised form of eID from another European country, you can report your change of address online to the RNI desk in the municipality of Breda.

If you don’t have a DigiD or a recognised form of eID from another European country, you can update your address online at one of the RNI desks below. You must include a copy of your valid passport or identity card.

If you don’t have a DigiD or a recognised form of eID from another European country, you can update your address by post through one of the RNI desks below. You must include a photocopy of your valid passport or identity card.

You can also report a change of address in person at any of the 19 municipalities in the Netherlands with an RNI desk. Make an appointment to do so. You must bring a valid passport or EU identity card with you to the RNI desk.
