I can’t get to a DigiD collection point. What should I do?
If you live abroad you will need to go to a DigiD service desk to collect your activation code in person. If that is not possible, you can collect your activation code in a video call with a NetherlandsWorldwide staff member. Depending on your situation, you may also be able to manage your affairs another way.
Collecting your activation code via video call
If you can't collect your activation code from a DigiD service desk in the Netherlands or abroad you can collect it via video call instead. Every Friday appointments are released for the coming week.

Via the Social Insurance Bank (SVB) (pensioners)
If you receive, or will soon be receiving, a Dutch state pension, you can apply for DigiD from abroad via the website of the Social Insurance Bank (SVB). You will not need to go to a DigiD collection point.
EU-approved login keys from other European countries
If you live in the EU, you may be able to use a login key from another European country to log in to Dutch government websites. Whether that’s possible depends on which country you live in and what website you want to log in to. Most websites also require you to provide your citizen service number (BSN) when logging in.
- EU-approved login keys by country
- Dutch websites you can log in to using an EU-approved login key from another European country
- Applying for a citizen service number (BSN)
Other possibilities
It is not mandatory to access online services using DigiD or a login method offered by another country. You may be able to manage your affairs another way. Ask the organisation in question for more information.
